Hi! I'm Jessica. For as long as I can remember I've had a love-hate relationship with food. I loved a delicious meal and trying new things in the kitchen but I didn't always like how that food made my body feel. From a young age I experienced stomach pain and bloating that kept me up at night, in my teen years that continued and progressed into migraines, joint and muscle pain, brain fog and fatigue. Not to mention the horrific periods I had accompanied by menstrual cramps, heavy bleeding, hormonal acne and mystery hip pain.
From the time I was 11, I learned how to grin and bear the unbearable pain I was in. I hid my bloated belly with loose clothing never wanting to wear a bikini. Despite being active with tennis, soccer and running I continued to gain and struggle with my weight, at 16 that wasn't great for my confidence! (always working on it). Finally at 18 I received a diagnosis for Endometriosis (IV) which I thought was the answer to all my problems but unleashed a whole other pack of demons. After surgery in 2021 I was diagnosed with adenomyosis (endo's sidekick) and endometriosis of the sciatic nerve.
My approach to food has changed greatly in the last 10years, I've decided to use nutrient rich whole foods and a balanced approach to combat my symptoms. In the process I've eliminated a lot of unnecessary pain and inflammation from my already fighting body. I've also lost 37lbs in the process of healing and continue to stay active with light activities.
Since 2012 I have been working with clients as a Registered Massage Therapist and Skin Therapist. In 2020 I successfully completed the Advanced Clinical Nutrition Program (2000hrs) and obtained my designation as a Registered Orthomolecular Health Practitioner as well as Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner. I'm a registered member of the IONC.
In my nutrition practice I work with all ages and have a keen focus on Women's Health including:
